touching life….

 A day of family…rather than fibre….
The weather here has been glorious, so I’ve been making an extra effort to get out with my sons and enjoy some moments….
They are so big- all as tall as me….but we all love a day at the beach…it’s like a nervine tonic…regenerating the rough edges…..

The moment we got to the park, I lost them… they were off down the trails to the bay…..hunting for boat building materials….Ahhhhh…..and I got a moment to enjoy watching them….and take in the glorious colours…. the most delicious greens….

….and the bones of the earth….

…and the boy and tidepool….

And the boys in their (flotsam/jetsam)boats…..

…And the wonder of wings… a great blue heron stopping in…..

The quantity of family happiness factor definitely is balancing out the quantity of personal work factor! With Graham away, somehow everyone is pulling together and making an extra effort…and the household has been harmonious, co-operative and productive….In taking a few spontaneous hours like this, we all seem more alive…and able to do so much more each day… both in work and pleasure…
Warm wishes,
Fiona

Sighhhhh…what a perfect 'Mama and children' kind of day.
Your photographs are gorgeous, and your children look so rugged, physical and resourceful! Sometimes, I think that mine missed out a little, having grown up in the suburbs. 🙂 XXO-

Dear Heather, thank you for all your comments! The boys certainly can be those things… when it suits them!;)
My oldest was there with us too…he was more intent on gathering materials this day than being out open the boat….I'm juts so glad they love doing these things, and are still so involved with each other!
It's been a perfect weekend….hope yours was too!
